No Accusation of Wrongdoing

The Public Ledgers reports on financial relationships documented in public records. The presence of any individual, company, or organization in our data does not constitute an accusation of wrongdoing, illegal activity, or improper conduct. All individuals and entities are presumed to be engaged in lawful activity unless otherwise established by a court of law.

Correlation between political donations and subsidy receipts is a documented pattern — it is not evidence of causation, bribery, or any other unlawful act.

Data Sources

All data published on this site is derived from publicly available government records, including:

  • Federal Election Commission contribution files
  • Good Jobs First Subsidy Tracker (goodjobsfirst.org)
  • CMS National Provider Enumeration System (NPPES)
  • HHS Office of Inspector General List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
  • EPA ECHO enforcement database
  • SEC EDGAR public filings
  • State campaign finance disclosures
  • U.S. Census Bureau publications

These records are public domain or made available under open-data policies. We make no proprietary claim to the underlying data.

Malpractice Data Disclaimer

Inclusion in the Malpractice Accountability database reflects a federal exclusion record matched to an active National Provider Identifier (NPI) registry entry. It does not confirm the physician is currently seeing patients. NPIs may remain active for billing, research, teaching, credentialing, or administrative purposes after a physician ceases direct patient care.

See the full malpractice methodology for details on matching logic, confidence scoring, and what an active NPI does and does not indicate.
